BlackBerry, the smartphone with the keypad that once dominated our palms, is suing Facebook for allegedly copying features from BlackBerry Messenger. Remember BBM? It’s okay if you don’t. But back in the day when former president Barack Obama was the most notable BlackBerry user, BBM was the go-to messenger app. Much like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp are today. The Canadian company claims Facebook “infringed” on its intellectual property to develop WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger. Facebook left BlackBerry on read, then responded by saying BlackBerry is resorting to lawsuits because it’s no longer an innovator in the tech world. In other words, ‘see you in court.’
