Next week, selling and smoking cannabis becomes legal in Canada. The rules around legalization have been slow to trickle in, but we now know that people will be allowed to carry weed on flights within Canada. Transport Canada has set the limit at 30 grams. If you’re shocked, remember that alcohol is allowed, and can be purchased, on flights. Carrying cannabis with you on flights to the U.S. is still illegal. In fact, Canada is only one of two countries in the world that have legalized cannabis. Uruguay being the other. The federal government has passed the metaphorical blunt over to provinces and territories and are letting them decide how to handle the sale and consumption of the drug.
