An Evio Exclusive
It’s been one week since our first ever M8 International Women’s Day event. And wow, what an event, and what a feeling. We were blown away by all of your support, kindness, generosity and spirit as you came out to celebrate the accomplishments of women past, present, and future.
We can’t say it enough, but we’re going to try anyway - Thank you for coming out and supporting Evio Beauty Group. By supporting one another, we are already making a change to the issues that matter. We’re happy to support the Canadian Women’s Foundation, a cause close to our heart.
The event meant a lot to us because we believe in empowering women and creating a safe space for women to learn from each other. Thank you to Love Child Social House for letting us host in that space.
During the event, we announced the launch of two special projects:
M8 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
M8 International Women’s Day is an annual event hosted by Evio Beauty Group. It’s a celebration of women featuring a powerhouse panel, female-founded product swag bag, and social gathering.
POWER HOUSE PANELS
This year we featured two powerhouse panels led by Natasha Raey, boss babe entrepreneur. We wanted to encourage a conversation about the long-winding road to success and the challenges women face in business and media.
FEMALE FOUNDERS PANEL
On March 8th, Evelyn Iona announced the acceptance of the Sephora Accelerator Program. A one-week boot camp in San Francisco where selected brands receive mentorship and work on developing their brands. To celebrate this milestone, our Female Founder panel featured brands that were also part of the Accelerator Program in the past.
- Brandi Leifo, Evelyn Iona Cosmetics (2018)
- Mary Futher, Kaia Naturals (2017)
- Lisa Mattam, Sahajan Skincare (2016)
WOMEN IN MEDIA
- Jax Irwin, Kiss 92.5
- Amanda Weldon, The Weather Network Channel
- Sara Spruch-Feiner, Writer + Beauty Expert
A BIG, MASSIVE THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR SPONSORS:
